Happy Birthday PeePaw!

It seems like yesterday we were celebrating our birthdays together and eating MeMaw's yummy chocolate cake with sugar candy on it! I sure do miss those days and miss you.

The Top Ten Things I miss the most about you are:

1. You coming to pick me up from school when I was sick (well sometimes sick other times I just wanted you to come pick me up and take me to McDonalds).

2. Playing Cards with you.

3. Eating your delicious hamburgers.

4. Staying up late at night and you popping me popcorn.

5. You taking Amber and I to Long John Silver's and Baskin and Robbins on Sunday afternoons.

6. Letting us drive your car.

7. Kissing your sweet smelling cheeks.

8. Playing with your wedding ring on your finger.

9. Listening to you tell those long stories.

10. Rubbing your bald lil' head.

I love you bunches and wish you were still here to celebrate!

Star Wars TIE Fighter

Lane has been studying the letter "H" at school the past couple of weeks and one of his projects was to make something out of a Hat! So, Lane being the boy he is wanted to do something with the Star Wars theme. Since Daddy was into Star Wars when he was little, (actually he still is), he was able to come up with the idea of doing Darth Vader's TIE Fighter. So off to Michaels we went to gather items to try and make this project a hit! We all worked for several hours and I think it turned out pretty good!

Lane was anxious to get to school to see what all of his friends would think of his creation. As we walked into his classroom all of the kids said "Wow Lane, that's awesome". He turned around and smiled at me and then said "yeah I know I worked really hard on this project." It was so funny because he was so proud. Of course I walked out with a big smile on my face too!!

This morning before I got out of bed Lane came and got in bed with me and told me that he had made breakfast for him and Bella. I thought to myself, "oh my goodness, I hope the kitchen is not a wreck." Then I went back to being a Mom and said "wow Lane that was so nice of you." He then grabbed my phone and took off. He came back to bed and said, "see Mom, I took a picture of it for you." He had taken two paper whale bowls and put a cup of oranges in one for him and a cup of applesauce in another for Bella. Then he strategically laid a napkin by each one along with a spoon for Bella and a fork for him. He was so sweet!!
