Lane is Quite the Athlete!!

It has been a great week for Lane at the Reaves House. On Saturday I was in Dallas and Scott took Lane and Bella to the YMCA 1 mile Trial Run. Daddy's lil' project got 2nd place in his age group!! Lane ran a 10 min and 55 second mile. We were so proud of him, but I think Daddy was by far the MOST proud! Here is Lane with his medal. He also got a huge purple and gold trophy!
Daddy's Lil' Runner

On Tuesday night Lane's baseball team (The Mets) played the Astros and his team won. Lane played such a great game. He tagged a kid out playing second base, backed up two balls in the outfield that the innfield missed and got 3 base hits, one of those hits was a coach pitch! He was always in his position and kept his head in the game so guess who got the GAME BALL??? LANERBUGS!!! He was so excited and so were we.
Here is Lane with his coach, Manny.

Here he is getting his game ball back from Pa.

Here we are enjoying our snack after the game.

My two favorite boys.

We had to celebrate afterwards by Lane ordering a frozen strawberry drink with whip cream!

We are so proud of you Lanerbugs! We love you bunches!

Mother's Day Sunday!

This morning and my entire day with Scott, Lane and Bella was awesome. Bella came down the hallway this morning holding a beautiful tulip plant. She said "Mommy, mmm smell good." Then we got dressed and went into the kitchen.
Here we are when they handed me my card and gift.

They got me a cute card that sang.

Bella was great and showing it to me while Lane tried reading it aloud.

Scott and the kids went shopping and Lane picked out a beautiful necklacethat spelled MOM and the "O" in Mom were diamonds. He was so proud to tell me that "Dad didn't know what to buy so he picked it out."

Then Scott bought me a beautiful Black watch with diamonds around face.
I love it!!

Then it was off to church to see my Mom and Dad. Here they are playing on the church steps after the service. By the way my parents would have never let me play on the alter after church, but I guess it's different with grandkids.

Me and my beautiful children! I love you both so much!

After church we had lunch at Tinsley's Fried Chicken!

After church we went home for a nap and then woke up and went and ate at Lupe Tortilla and the kids played in the sandbox. What a great day.

Also I forgot to mention last night after returning from Dallas Scott took me to my favorite steakhouse, Perry's, for dinner. Just the two of us. It was a great Mother's Day dinner alone and we had such a good time and great conversation. Thanks to John for watching the kiddos for us!

Friday Evening!

After Lane's luncheon Mom and I met and drove to Dallas to visit Amber. Her best friend, Jamie, is having a baby girl and Amber was hosting a baby shower for her. When we arrived it was time for presents for the Cade Man. We always bring suprises.

We got Caden a Mickey Mouse coloring book.

We also got him some water balls to play with in the pool.

For dinner I took Mom and Amber to Chedder's
as part of their Mother's Day gift.

GiGi and Aunt Kay squishing Caden!

They got me a pretty purple shirt and a cake decorating kit!

Mother's Day Luncheon

On Friday Lane's school hosted a Mother's Day Luncheon for all of the Moms. I had such a great time having lunch with my lil' man, Lanerbugs. Lane's class made calendars for their mothers and they all read us a poem about moms. Here are a few pictures from our lunch.

His class unveiling the precious calendars.

Reading their poem aloud.

Still reading...

We had such a great time together and he was such a little gentleman.

Happy Mother's Day Mom!!

There are no words to describe how special you are and what you mean to me. I am so thankful that you have set such a wonderful Christian example as a mother for me to follow. (Not that I always follow that! Just Kidding!) You are an amazing lady and I love you!

I posted a Mother's Day announcement in the Conroe Courier today in honor of mom. You can view the add by clicking on this link.

Scottsdale, Arizona Trip

Last Thursday we left for a trip to Scottsdale, Arizona. Scott has qualified for this trip through an general agency, BenefitMall for the last three years. At the last minute Scott and I decided to bring Lane along for the trip. He was so excited and got to miss 2 days of school!!! We stayed at a beautiful hotel called the Phoenecian, that backed up to Camelback Mountain.

Hotel Entrance.

Dinner on the lawn the first night we were there.

This is a theme park called "Castles and Coasters" we went to.
Here is Lane playing putt putt golf.

Here we are running into Daddy in the bumper boats!

Scott and Lane in the go carts.
I am not sure who liked this more, Lane or Scott!

Lane's photography skills on Mom and Dad.

Lane riding a mini Sky Scraper. He was giggling so much!

We were at the bottom yelling and he was just dying laughing. So cute.

Here we are in line for the 2nd time to do the log ride.
We got soaking wet and it was so fun.

The last night we were there they always have a formal dinner and
this was Scott's name on the big screen they played.
This is a picture of Lane that the BenefitMall photographer took and it was on the big screen as well that night. His face took up the entire screen and the crowd (us included) just gushed we they saw it.

Lane wanted to order a pizza at about 11:00 p.m. the last night we were there.

And we HAD to have some Coke and Rootbeer floats to go along with it!

Early the last morning he was dead to the world.
Check out this awesome tent that Scott made him.

While we were there we also went to a Wildlife Zoo and Aquarium. Lane got to pet a stingray, starfish and crabs. He also got to feed a Giraffe and ride the cable cars in the air across the zoo. He had a great time and Scott and I felt like kids again.

The hotel had an awesome water slide like Splashtown that was long and curvy so we all three rode that several times as well.
We all had a good time and we were glad Lane came along. However, I must say you should mark Scottsdale off of your top 10 places to go and Phoenix too! It was not like any other vacations we had been on.

Thank you to Scott for working so hard and qualifying for all of these trips. We are so proud of you and love you bunches!!
