Happy Father's Day to a wonderful, fun loving playful, and strong Dad. You are so great at being silly and playful with our kids yet at the same time providing them great Christian values and discipline for them. Words can never express the love that I feel for you. We have been through so much together and throughout my life I have known that other than the Lord you have been the constant rock in my life. You have been there and loved me through so much over the last couple of years especially. To this day when I look at the moon I always think of you and always will. Thank you for being there and thank you for being so involved in my kids' lives and loving them unconditionally.

Play Day with Cousin Caden

Mom met Amber yesterday to pick Caden up to spend the whole weekend with them. So... today we met up to play together. Mom and I took the kids to Candy Cane Park. My Memaw and my Mom took Amber and I there many many times so today we carried on the tradition.

Bella and Caden.

Lane went down the BigFoot slide by himself showing Caden how to do it.
Then Caden decided he would try it.

Lane was waiting and cheering him on at the bottom.

Here is Lane taking Bella down.

Then Lane went down the tunnel slide......

and look who followed!

Bella and Caden waiting on Lanerbugs.

Bella boozie!

After the park it was off to Burger King!

GiGi and her boys.

Me and my kiddos.

After playing and eating it was time to cool off in the sprinkler.

Aunt Kay had to run through them too.

So long for now... Can't wait to do it again.

A Day With Nannie

Today we went to Nannie's house to have a visit and go to lunch together. After we played a while at her house we went to The Hop for lunch. We had burgers and milk shakes. It was so good!
Nannie and Mr. Hollywood at The Hop.

After lunch we went back to Nannie's house where Uncle John took Lane on an outside adventure. He caught their new calf and let Lane and Bella pet her.
She was a little afraid but she was so cute.

He also let Lane go gather eggs from the hen house!

Bella, Nannie and Lane.

Nannie let Bella play with the eggs. She kept saying "chickie chickie". Of course she got a little excited and dropped one on Nannie's floorand we had to clean it up.

This is a special little egg that Uncle John let Lane have.
Lane named it "Eggie" and swears if he sits
on it and keeps it warm that "Eggie" will hatch.

Bella sat with Nannie and kept saying "picture, picture," so I took lots of pictures of them!

Here they are again. It is just like seeing myself as a kid sitting there with Nannie.

We had such a great time visiting with them and came home with lots of goodies. Lane got his special Eggie, pictures of animals from Uncle John and a chicken book. Uncle John gave Bella a Casper Movie and we watched it in the DVD player on the way home. Thank you both for such a wonderful time and we look forward to doing it again.

Kindergarten Graduation!

On Wednesday night our not so little boy graduated from Kindergarten. He was absolutely adorable and he did such a wonderful job in his ceremony. They each had a speaking part and lots of songs and poems. I couldn't believe that he was able to memorize all of the lines. After their program they had a slide show of pictures to music and there was not a dry eye in the school. It was very touching.
This is a picture and notebook of his work they gave the parents.

Lane walking in at the beginning of the ceremony.
I love his "proud" lil' smile.

Lane we are so proud of you and love you so much. You are such a smart boy!

Aunt Kay Goes to Dallas!!

On Friday afternoon I went to Dallas for an evening with my Cade Man. I kept him Friday night so that Amber and Tim could go out to celebrate their Anniversary. Further, on Saturday Amber and I had plans to go to Canton to go shopping.
I went by Caden's Daycare to pick him up or let's just say in Caden's terms I went to daycare and kidnapped him! The poor child had his thumb in his mouth and was hiding from me behind a chair when he figured out that I was fixing to leave with him. When I picked him up his eyes were as big as saucers and he began to scream and yell like I have never heard. The word FEAR was clearly written all over the poor child's face. His body was as stiff as could be and I was walking out with him and nervously laughing thinking any minute the daycare was going to call the cops because I really wasn't his aunt. When we got to the car and I began putting him in he was still screaming bloody murder. I thought when I turned on the DVD player and the movie came on he would be fine. He finally stopped crying but the whole way home he wasn't watching the movie he was looking out the window nervously with is thumb in his mouth wondering which bridge I was going to dump him out at.
We finally arrived home and as we opened the door to his house he began to grin the biggest smile. At that point I think he realized I wasn't going to harm him. We quickly changed clothes, grabbed a snack and left for the mall before Mommy and Daddy got home from work. Here are some pictures from our evening.

Here is Caden on the way to the Mall.

He loved watching the fountains.
Notice Aunt Kay let him take his shoes off.

Here he is playing under the bridge.

I love this picture of him! He was smiling because Aunt Kay
got him a Cookie from Great American Cookie.

After the mall, Hobby Lobby and the Dollar Tree
we had to stop by Braums and get a chocolate milk shake and cheeseburger.

Then it was off to the garage for our BIG stepping stone
project for Mommy and Daddy.

Caden provided the entertainment while I did most of the work.
Here he is bouncing up and down make noises with his hand in his pants.
Quite cute if you ask me. This was before he pushed the panic button on my car alarm 3 times!

Here is our completed project. Look at that sweet lil' hand.

Aunt Kay let him stay up until 9:45 p.m. when Mommy and Daddy got home from their date. He had to stay up to give them their gift!

I think they liked it!

This is the cross we got them for their wall collection.

Caden was so nice to give me a beautiful card and a mug full of lime green and hot pink daisies and roses! Aunt Kay will have to do this more often.
Saturday morning we woke up and went to Canton just the two of us. Thank you to Sara and MiMi for watching Caden so that we could have a SISTERS day alone. We had so much fun and I cannot wait to do it again some time.
